What Genuine Independent Corroboration Would Require

The Clarion Narrative Already Drew on Existing Contactee Ideas

Another reason matching messages carried limited evidential weight is that many central themes were already circulating in the wider UFO contactee movement rather than originating independently within Martin’s group.

The name “Clarion” had already become known through the claims of contactee Truman Bethurum, whose published accounts described benevolent beings from a hidden planet bearing that name. Martin’s communications adopted the same planetary name while developing a different theological interpretation of it.
